Palo Alto, CA – September 26, 2011 – The Radicati Group, Inc.’s latest study, “Survey: Corporate Email, 2011-2012” provides an in-depth look at current deployment, attitudes, usage, and future migration plans of 100 organizations worldwide, representing over 228,068 email users.

The study provides detailed data on the deployment of Microsoft Exchange, IBM Lotus Notes, other business email platforms, and Hosted Email Solutions by corporate organizations. It also provides a view of future email migration plans, corporate attitudes towards cloud-based services, and downtime.

According to the survey business users send 41 email messages per day, and receive approximately 100 email messages per day. Of the 100 daily emails received, on average, 24 emails per day include an attachment. While 16% of email delivered to the inbox is still considered spam by recipients, this is a decrease in spam rates from previous years.

The majority of business users, 85% of respondents, said they currently access email from their mobile phone for business purposes on a daily basis.
